This product is not an original part from the Dewalt table saw, and is not provided by the manufacturer. Watch the video when I m doing it!Ĩ - clean the back of the insert (some melted plastic might be thereĩ - Put the spliter and the kerf keeper (kerf keeper is behaving as a fuse in case here is a lot of tension in the wood, it it get caught in the wood, stop the saw, it means there is something wrong with your cut!) ![]() This is important to have no side to side movement on the plate, easy to achieve with the screws!ĥ - Lock the insert with the lock mechanism (the fifth screw on the top)Ħ - put the fence on top of the blade and lock it (warning not on the way of the blade!ħ - Start the saw and slowly rise the blade completely to create the zero clearance. You can use the tool I m also selling to do this tuning!Ģ - lower completely the blade and put on the plateģ - Adjust the level by tuning the 4 screws on topĤ - Remove any play on the plate by adjusting the 2 screws on the right side and the one on the front. ![]() This is a 3D printed (PLA) zero clearance insert for the following table saw: Dewalt DW745 and DW744įor security, the splitter and a kerf keeper are both included! You can t put the original splitter because I decided to not put a scarf through the insert, it reduces rigidity and precision.ġ - Make sure your blade is 90 degrees and parallel to the right miter slot.
